PMEX Commodity Index continues bearish pattern

April 16, 2020: On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index continued to be in bear trap and lost another 36 points to settle at 3,649-mark. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.011 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,805.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.331 billion, followed by Crude Oil (PKR 746.764 million), Platinum (PKR 691.278 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 449.069 million), NSDQ 100 (PKR 318.677 million), Silver (PKR 122.893 million), Copper (PKR 114.773 million), DJ (PKR 105.336 million), SP500 (PKR 81.010 million), Natural Gas (PKR 49.712 million) and Brent (PKR 0.047 million).

In agriculture commodities, 5 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 22.538 million and 4 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.745 million were traded.
