February 26, 2024 (MLN): The domestic bullion market started the week on a positive note, with the price of 24-karat gold increasing by Rs700 per tola to reach Rs215,800 per tola on Monday.
The Karachi Sarafa Association reported that the price of 10-gram 24-karat gold was at Rs185,014, reflecting a gain of Rs600 compared to the previous session.
While the price of 10-gram 22-karat gold increased to Rs169,596.
It is worth mentioning that the domestic gold last week broke free of its two-week losing streak by gaining Rs1,900 per tola.
On the other hand, silver prices remained unchanged today, with 24-karat silver being sold at Rs2,570 per tola and Rs2,203.36 per 10-gram.
Globally, international spot gold traded near $2,032 per ounce, down 0.1% DoD.
The latest Fed minutes have signaled that most US officials are in no rush to cut rates.
