PMEX Commodity Index inches lower by 16 points

July 15, 2020: On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index inched lower by 16 points to close at 4,483. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 14.569 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,459.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 9.654 billion, followed by NSDQ 100 (PKR 2.030 billion), Silver (PKR 939.362 million), DJ (PKR 688.613 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 503.307 million), Crude Oil (PKR 289.081 million), Platinum (PKR 280.385 million), SP500 (PKR 97.631 million), Natural Gas (PKR 66.080 million) and Copper (PKR 19.984 million).

In agriculture commodities, 3 lots of Wheat amounting to PKR 13.219 million, one lot of Corn amounting to PKR 2.803 million and 2 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.046 million were traded.
