PMEX Commodity Index gains 46 points to close at 3,770-mark

March 16, 2020: On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index gained 46 points and closed at 3,770-mark. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.193 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,022.

The major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 5.781 billion, followed by DJ (PKR 1.384 billion), Crude Oil (PKR 643.991 million), Platinum (PKR 641.141 million), NSDQ100 (PKR 568.721 million), Currencies through COTS (PKR 502.456 million), Silver (PKR 289.010 million), Copper (PKR 152.930 million), SP500 (PKR 123.263 million), Natural Gas (PKR 59.063 million) and Brent Crude Oil (PKR 47.279 million).

In agriculture commodities, 2 lots of Soybean amounting to PKR 13.680 million, 2 lots of Corn amounting to PKR 5.834 million and 3 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 1.427 million were traded.
