Opening Bell: KSE-100 index loses over 185 points

November 04, 2022 (MLN): Snapping its gaining streak, the benchmark KSE-100 index on Friday kicked off the session in red as it lost over 185 points [9:50 PST] so far in morning trade and is currently trading at 41,840.62 mainly due to the ongoing political instability.

The assassination attempt on former Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday has further disturbed the already unstable political environment of Pakistan. This resulted in selling pressure on the trading floor during early trade.

Oil & gas exploration, commercial banks, and technology & communication have witnessed major selling activity.

Company-wise, the scrips of PPL, HUBC, POL, PSO, and TRG, UBL have endured maximum losses.
