July 18, 2022 (MLN): Pakistan Stock Exchange’s KSE-100 Index has lost 449 points or down by 1.07% during an intraday trade and is currently trading at the 41,619 level [PST: 10:04].
The index is dragged by current political instability in the country as the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf on Sunday defeated the PML-N by winning at least 15 seats in the crucial by-elections on 20 seats that got vacated after the disqualification of PTI members who voted for Hamza Shehbaz for Punjab chief minister’s office.
Commercial Banks, Cement, Technology & Communication, Oil & Gas Exploration Companies, and Fertilizer have witnessed higher selling activity as they have lost around 94, 60, 53, 50 and 34 points, respectively.
Company-wise, the scrips of LUCK, HUBC, HBL, SYS, and TRG have endured the maximum losses.
