October 21, 2022 (MLN): Glaxo Smith Kline Consumer Healthcare Pakistan Limited (GSKCH), reported a loss of Rs67.93 million as compared to Rs1.64bn profit in the same period last year, according to the latest financial report.
The decrease in profits is mainly on the back of lower operating profits and increased finance costs.
In the report, the company’s profit before taxation went down by 82.22% YoY to Rs412mn as compared to Rs2.32bn in the same period last year (SPLY).
On the expense side, selling, marketing, and distribution expense increased by 6.99% YoY, and administrative expenses increased by 28.63% YoY.
Meanwhile, other operating expenses went down by 84.49% YoY.
In FY22, the company’s loss per share stood at Rs0.58 against earnings per share of Rs14.03 in SPLY.
