February 29, 2024 (MLN): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has successfully achieved the revenue collection target for the first eight months of FY24, collecting Rs5.83 trillion, it said on its social media account, X (formerly Twitter).
In the month of February 2024, the FBR collected Rs681 billion as against a collection of Rs519bn a year earlier, registering a growth of 32% YoY.
On a monthly basis, the tax collection remained stable against a collection of Rs680 in January 2024.
Cumulatively, in 8MFY24, the growth was registered at 30% YoY as against the collection in 8MFY23.
