DGKC successfully completes installation of 12 MW WHRPP with ACC technology

December 24, 2019 (MLN): D.G. Khan Cement announced that its site in Khairpur has successfully completed the installation and commissioning of 12 MW Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant (WHRPP) with Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) technology.

In this technology process waste heat is absorbed in boilers to produce steam at a suitable pressure to run turbine for the generation of electricity. Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) system has special characteristics to replace steam condensing with air instead of water resulting in an enormous reduction in water consumption.

Adoption of WHRPP technology coupled with ACC system is matching well with the vision and approach of D.G. Kahn Cement Company Limited for the reduction of Carbon Footprints and completing “Environment Friendly Project.”
