Banks to remain closed on 1st Ramadan for public dealing

March 08, 2024 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed for public dealing on 1st Ramadan-ul-Mubarak, 1445 A.H., which shall be observed as a ‘Bank Holiday’ for deduction of Zakat, the press statement issued by the Central Bank on Friday informed. 

Accordingly, all banks/DFIs/MFBs shall remain closed for public dealing on the aforementioned date.

However, all employees of the banks / DFIs / MFBs will attend the office on a Bank Holiday treating it as a normal working day except for public dealing.
