PM lauds Airlift’s $85m Series B financing

August 20, 2021 (MLN): Pakistan welcomes the recent investment of 85 million USD by leading VCs of the world in Airlift, a company led by young Pakistanis, Prime Minister Imran Khan said.

While applauding this milestone on his Twitter handle, PM said, “Pakistan has huge potential and we are open for business.”

The government is fully committed to creating opportunities, he added.

A one-year-old startup, Airlift, built by local entrepreneurs and for local populations, raised USD85 million in its Series B led by some of the most iconic investors on the globe. Josh Buckley (Buckley Ventures) and Harry Stebbings (20VC) co-led the financing round.

The financing is about twice the size of the largest private company IPO in Pakistan’s history and the highest in the MENA region.
