February 14, 2020 (MLN): Pakistan has posted a 6-month budget deficit of 2.3 percent of GDP, according to the data compiled by Finance Ministry.
The data further revealed that the 6-month primary balance of Pakistan stood at 0.7% of GDP.
During the first six months of the current Fiscal Year 2020, the total revenue amounted to Rs. 3.2 trillion, whereas total expenditure stood at Rs. 4.1 trillion. This resulted in a budgetary deficit of Rs. 0.9 trillion.
