Nepra increases power tariff by Rs4.3 per unit

January 14, 2022 (MLN): The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Thursday raised electricity tariff by Rs4.3 per unit for consumers of Ex-Wapda Distribution Companies (XWDISCOs) under Fuel Charges Adjustment (FCA) for the month of November 2021.

According to the notification, the actual fuel charges stood at Rs8.0401 kWh whereby the corresponding reference charge was fixed at Rs3.7381/kWh and a fuel price variation of Rs4.3020/kWh was recorded.

The above adjustment of Rs4.3020 per unit will be charged with the bill of January 2022, which will be paid by all consumer categories of distribution companies, except for lifeline customers of all ex-WAPDA distribution companies (XWDISCOs), the notice said.
