Midday Report: KSE-100 index up by 224 points

November 01, 2019 (MLN): The KSE-100 index has gained 224 points in the first session of Friday, and has closed at 34,427-mark.

The index has clearly been feeding off the decline in market yields in Wednesday’s auctions, as the unattractive returns on bonds have once again pushed the investors towards equity instruments.

So far, Cement Sector and Commercial Banks have emerged as the top performers, as they have collectively contributed 116 points to the index.

Company-wise, the index is being driven by the scrips of LUCK, DAWH, ENGRO, HBL, and UBL.
