KSE – 100 index today gained more than 112 points by the day end as surprisingly positive results and market news helped prop the market upward. SSGC gained + 3.48 percent during the day after Prime Minster announced the resumption of gas supply to K – Electric. Furthermore, the worst affected Amreli Steel (ASTL) +1.76 percent also gained after a deal was struck between KEL and SSGC.
Volume traded at KSE – 100 index increased by 6.6 percent during the session after total volume clocked in at 61.758 million versus 57.762 million yesterday.
Oil & Gas Exploration Companies, Commercial Banks, and Tobacco scrips during today’s session were at the top after collectively adding more than 84.41 points.
Sector-wise all share index top ten sector turnover was led by Chemical (1.257 million), Oil & Gas Exploration (13.431 million), and Food & Personal Care (11.135 million) with Engineering (3.898 million) and Auto Assembler (3.793 million) stocks trailing at the bottom.
KSE – 100 Index at the day end moved a total of 112.61 points down 0.25 percent, closing in at 45371.95 points with index high – low range of 45452.98 – 45191.00.
KSE – All Share Index Volume was at 112.411 million shares, the value of shares traded for all-shares index reached PKR 5.433 billion.
