Yearly Inflation at 1.3 percent in September

The PBS released the figures for September Inflation, following is the summary of their release.
 
  1.  CPI inflation, General  increased  by  1.3%  on year-on-year basis in  September  2015  as compared to  an increase  1.8%  in  the  previous  month  and  7.7%  in  September  2014.  On  month-on-month  basis,  it decreased  by  0.1%  in  September  2015  as compared  to  an  increase  of  0.2% in the previous month and 0.4% in September 2014.
  2.  Core inflation measured by non-food non-energy CPI (Core NFNE) increased by  3.4% on (YoY) basis  in September 2015 as compared to increase 4.0% in the previous month and  8.1% in September 2014. On (MoM)  basis, it  increased by  0.1%  in  September  2015  as compared to increase of  0.1%  in  the previous month and 0.7% in September 2014.
  3. Core inflation, measured by 20% weighted trimmed mean CPI (Core Trimmed) increased by  2.8%  on (YoY) basis  in  September  2015 as compared to  2.8% in  the previous month and  by 7.1% in September 2014.  On (MoM) basis, it increased by 0.1% in  September  2015  as compared to increase of 0.1%  in  the previous month and  0.2% in September 2014.
  4. SPI inflation on YoY decreased by  1.3%  in  September  2015  as compared to  decrease of 1.5% a month earlier and an increase of  5.4% in  September  2014. On MoM basis, it  increased by  0.5%  in  September 2015 as compared to a decrease of 0.2% a month earlier and increase of 0.2% in September 2014.
  5. WPI inflation on YoY basis decreased by  3.5% in September  2015  as  compared  to  decrease of  2.9% a month earlier and  an increase of  2.7% in September  2014. WPI inflation  on MoM  basis    decreased by 0.4%  in  September  2015  as compared  to  decrease  of  0.5% a month earlier and  an  increase of  0.2% in September 2014.
