SSGC to spend Rs. 2.246 billion on Gasification of 137 villages in Sindh and Baluchistan

Sui Southern Gas Company is going to spend Rs. 2.246 billion on gasification of 137 villages of Sindh and Baluchistan. The company plans to achieve the targets during the current fiscal year ‘18.

The company announced that, under the Prime Minister Global Sustainable Development Goals Programme, SSGCL will lay around 240 kilometers of gas pipelines to gasify 119 villages in Sindh and 18 villages in Baluchistan by laying 77 kilometer network lines.

The company expects the project to cost around 2.246 billion for both provinces. Gasification of 119 villages in Sindh is expected to cost around 1.6 billion, whereas the Baluchistan part of the project is expected to cost up to Rs 630 million.

The company said that a detailed survey of the concerned villages has already been done, however, some villages still await funding in order to ensure Gas supply.
