Oil strike continues, meeting in Islamabad concluded inconclusive

The meeting with the government and representatives of the oil tankers association remains inconclusive and strike across the country continued.

The Ministry of Petroleum invited all the stakeholders belonging to petroleum sector in Islamabad on Tuesday where talks ended without conclusion and dead lock remained between the government and oil tankers representatives.  

Shams Shewani, vice president oil tankers association said that chairman of OGRA disowned the representative of the members of the association and said that we won’t hold talks with the officials. Meeting suspended and the association said that the strike would continue unabated till such time that government accepts their demands.

The association representative said that they have signed agreement with the NHA that they will move oil having two axels and would not accept the demand of OGRA.
