KSE Closing Bell – Index Closes Negative for Seventh Straight Session

KSE100 Index ended Thursday's trading session 120.49 points down to close at 33,079.37. This marked the seventh successive session in which the index has closed lower with the index closing positive just once in the last 10 sessions. While the index had started positively it could not sustain those levels and gradually fell later in the session. The index moved in a range of 381.84 points or 1.15% of previous close, touching an intraday high of 33,437.8 (237.94) and a low of 33,055.96 (-143.90) points. Total volume traded was 140 million shares compared to 152 million from the previous session. Out of the 362 traded companies, 134 closed up, 206 closed down while 22 were unchanged. Market Cap decreased by Rs.24Bn and has gone down by Rs.163bn this week.
