Government to spend Rs3bln on agriculture sector in KP

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government is spending more than three billion rupees on development of agriculture sector in the current fiscal year.

“The amount will be spent on seventeen ongoing and 21 new projects,” the official sources said.

“The projects include provision of small agricultural equipment to 11, 500 farmers through Model Farms Center across the province,” they said.

“Similarly, 1,63,000 acre barren land in Dera Ismail Khan and Tank will be irrigated under Gomal Zam Command Area Development Project,” the sources said.
