Gold inches up by Rs600 to close at Rs115,600 per tola

October 6, 2021 (MLN): The demand for gold in the domestic bullion market witnessed a surge today, marking an uptick of Rs600 as the 24-karat gold traded at Rs115,600 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold increased by Rs514 and was traded at Rs98,594 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs90,850, Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association reported.

On the contrary, the price of 24-karat silver remained stagnant at Rs1,400. Likewise, the price of 10-gram silver stayed flat at Rs1,200.27.

On the other hand, In the international market, the demand for safe-haven gold has dropped by $5 to $1,752 an ounce owing to a stronger US dollar. Meanwhile, silver was traded at $22.24 an ounce compared to $22.30 an ounce the day before.
