According to the Pakistan Central Cotton Committee data, heavy rains in Thatta, Badin, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpur Khas and Sanghar Districts have damaged the quality of Cotton, lowering the seed cotton prices in the respective districts.
Many incidences have been reported from Lower Sindh, and Punjab areas. Pink boll worm incidence being reported in Sindh, whereas various insect pests and diseases such as white fly, thrips, Mealy Bug, Army worm and clcuv have been reported in numerous regions of Punjab.
Prices of seed cotton remained between 2800-3200.
